How our in game recruiting system works

Dark Throne is a browser based massive online role playing game. The objective of this game it to build up your army, create and manage a city, and attack other players in-game.

One method of advancing in the game is to recruit your friends and family by sending them a unique link associated with a players account id. By getting them to visit the link and/or sign up, the player will gain additional bonuses which will allow them to progress further in the game.

Before someone begins playing they have to read and agree to our terms of use, which clearly states that this recruiting system is only for your friends and family who wish to receive this and spamming of your link in any way will result in suspension of their account.

Note that any spamming of a unique Dark Throne link is coming from a registered user of Dark Throne, in violation of our Terms of Use, Rules, and Anti Spam Policy. It is not coming from the creators and owners of the game itself and is only intended as a part of the game to share with your friends and family.

How to report someone who is spamming their Dark Throne Link

Lazarus Software has made it very easy to report someone in violation of our Rules/Anti-Spam Policy. When you see a Dark Throne recruitment link, there will be a link that says "report this player for spam violations". Simply, click on that link and fill out the form and we will handle the report within 48hrs, during normal business days and hours.

* Note - To have us successfully investigate a spam complaint, you must have evidence of this player spamming their link, such as a URL where this was posted, a copy of an email, or additional forms which will be mentioned on the report page.

What actions are taken against players who have spammed their link

Lazarus Software reviews every complaint on a case by case basis. Depending on the severity of the spam or if a particular player has been reported in the past, our actions will range from a temporary suspension to a permanent banning of their account.

What additional steps are taken to prevent spam

We see a possibility of spam on message boards and similar sites that allow comment posting. As an easy way to prevent spamming of links on particular sites, we have created a list of website URL's that a player's unique link will not work at. If you are a website owner reporting users in spam violation, please take a moment to fill out additional information on our reporting page so that we can have your URL added to our list.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this policy at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. Any comments or questions regarding our Anti-Spam Policy should be sent to [email protected].
